With the valuable support of Breakthrough and Clinic Plus, GVS is implementing the –“MeriBetiStrong” Project to promote strengthening and empowering the mother and daughter to ensure their bonding. This project is aimed to deliver a gender equality curriculum in rural 100 Upper Primary schools,18 Inter Collages & 75 GPs in Kasimabad,Mardah & Sadar Block of Ghazipur districts in Uttar Pradesh.

The Project is aimed to achieve the following objectives-

Adolescent Level –

1-Adolescent recognize different forms of Gender-based discrimination
2-Adolescent are aware that men and women can both take up different social roles including non-stereotypical ones.
3-Adolescent are aware of schemes/services that enable women to get their rights /entitlements.
4-Adolescent understand that women/girls lack of access to resources (economic technology information )and decision-making leads to poor life outcomes.
5 -Adolescent accept that inter gender interactions is not rong .

Family Level –

1-Family are aware of how Gender-based discrimination is perpetuated within families
2-Family are sensitized to the need of adolescents reading decisions about their lives.
3-Families are aware that adolescents are learning about Gender-based discrimination in TKT Sessions in the community.
4- Families are aware of women/girls lack of access to resources (economic technology information) and decision-making

Community Level –

1-Community member recognized different forms of Gender based discrimination
2- Community member are aware that men and woman can both take up different social roles ( including non stereotypical ones )
3- Community member are aware that Adolescent are learning about Gender based discrimination and TKT Sessions in the community.
4- School teacher are aware of different form of Gender based discrimination
5- School teacher recognized Gender based discrimination is a problem
