About Dhamupur Village

This village is counted one of the most historical villages of India because of National hero of India Army Veer Abdul Hameed who sacrifices during 1965 India –pakistan war held after demolishing the Pakistani tanks. Company Quartermaster Havildar Abdul Hamid of 4 Grenadiers as India remembered his bravery in the battle of Asal Uttar, one of the largest tank battles fought during the 1965 India-Pakistan war. Hamid laid down his life fighting Pakistani tanks on 10 September 1965, and was awarded the Param Vir Chakra, India’s highest gallantry award.

A brief about Swawlamban Lab

Grameen Vikas Sansthan has brainstormed with the experts to evolve a destination in ghazipur where youth of Ghazipur can develop their vocational skills and employability status through intensive technical training facilities in Dhamu Pur. 300 youths will be developed as skilled in different vocational and job orienting trades each year through this centre. This is a full digital venue for the students where they are attending the classes on the screen with audio and required graphics. This is developed as a user friendly centre to provide an abled environment for the learners

Various Training stages

Training of the selected candidates are carried out after proper induction. The induction will enable honest dialogue among trainees and instructors. An ethical code of conduct would be built by candidates themselves. Team building exercises is also conducted in an informal environment increases self-confidence among trainees. In addition, the self-monitoring processes initiated aiming at their individual development.

Soft skills:

Life skills is aiming at preparing the candidates better and confident individuals. Around 80 hrs will be devoted on this component. Inputs will be provided on personality development and grooming, behavioral changes, spoken english, computer exposure, time and money management etc.

Technical skills:

There is plan to adopt Participative training methods to provide technical skills. The centre is working towards it. Training is focused on theoretical inputs and practical sessions. Candidates will also be provided hands on experience. In addition, regular assignments and tests are planned to be conducted.

2	Handset Repair Engineer (Level II)	3 Months	Inter	• Individual in this role is responsible for performing handset repair including hardware and software components and testing the handset for adequacy post repair. • Key Activities- o Perform handset repair- hardware o Perform handset repair- software Perform tablet repair- hardware & software. After the training they can start their own firm and enterprises.

Our Girls Our Pride has achieved the several remarkable milestones on the way of Adolescent Empowerment. Girls Fellows are working as a local squad of transforming the lives of the other girls through mobilizing them. The conceptualization of the Girls fellows is one of them. During the Intervention it was analyzed that Some of the leaders are vibrant and need a further encouragement to lead their initiative and be a role model for the community girls. The Project brainstormed and took decision that there is a emerging need to involve them in community mobilization and adolescent empowerment practices and a fellowship intervention can minimize the vulnerability factors in the area and coverage of local leaders through fellowship grant will ensure new champion from the community and they would be a source of motivation for other girls. Total 25 Fellows are working in 75 Gram panchayat of Mau district These fellows are from the 25 Different clusters. These fellows have achieved the certain milestone and have taken the innovative initiatives. They are playing the active role in the community through providing the correct information on age at marriage,Education,Girls related health issues, Girls mobility, Gender, nutrition and other girls related issues.

USHA Silai Schools are community based initiatives with the aim of empowering village women to become entrepreneurs through sewing and setting up sewing schools at their own villages . Gramin Vikas sansthan has partnered with USHA and sets up Silai Schools in the Districts of Ghazipur, Gorakhpur, Mau, Varanasi and Jaunpur in the most remote and rural corners. GVS facilitate and support USHA to identify, set up and motivate village women to join these schools where they are trained in sewing and given a free sewing machine. Its aimed that they in turn teach and train other women forming a network of self-reliant and enterprising women. And that’s not all. Every time someone buys an USHA sewing machine, more than 1% of that sale amount is used to enhance and further develop the Silai School Program.
Everyday USHA Silai Schools are helping hundreds of women in sewing and entrepreneurial skills and thereby changing their lives.

Organization has covered more than 4500 families through ration and other support during the Covid-19 Pandemic.

• Total 340 Girls during the Program has been supported financially to start their career opportunities.

• Organisation has developed more than 2000 Volunteers in Mau Ghazipur and Azamgarh District.

• Total 407 Early Marriage protest have been reported between April 2017 to March 2022.

• Total 5000 Equanis owner families have been covered through the different intervention.

• GVS Has mobilized 28000 Families in Mau ,Ghazipur District through the different development intervention during the last 5 years .

• GVS has trained more than 976 Community Support Groups Leaders in which around 6600 members are directly covered through different intervention.

• Organization has covered more than 120000 Community people through community mobilization events and campaigns.

• Organisation has its implementation among 1200 School teachers in in Mau and ,Ghazipur.

• GVS Has established 5 Smart classes for girls in Azamgarh to ensure the quality of education.
